We are a group of individuals dedicated to the pursuit of observational astronomy and to educating of the general public on astronomy and its related issues, such as “light pollution”.

Our monthly meetings include informative presentations given on a variety of topics. Past presentations have included astrophotography, the constellations, deep-sky astronomy, eclipses, James Webb Telescope, telescope operation, Mars exploration, the history and mythology of astronomy, and many others!

At our observing sessions, members use a wide variety of equipment…from binoculars and small refractors to 12-inch reflectors, as well as varied photography equipment.

Astrophotography has become a way of life for some. The shared knowledge and images are appreciated by all.

Our monthly meetings are a great way to get your feet wet. Knowledge and experience levels of our membership range from complete novices to individuals who have enjoyed astronomy all their lives, including educators in the field. Our membership consists of men and women of all ages and walks of life.

All are welcome to participate!
