We are a group of individuals dedicated to the pursuit of observational astronomy and to educating of the general public on astronomy and its related issues, such as “light pollution”.

Our monthly meetings include informative presentations given on varied topics. Past presentations have included astrophotography, the constellations, deep-sky astronomy, eclipses, telescope making and use, the history and mythology of astronomy, and many others!

At our observing sessions, members bring and use a wide variety of equipment…from binoculars and small refractors to 20-inch reflectors.

Our meeting sessions are open to the public and free of charge. Knowledge and experience levels of our membership range from complete novices to individuals who have enjoyed astronomy all their lives, including educators in the field. Our membership consists of men and women of all ages and walks of life.

All are welcome to participate!
